Seller’s Guide

I have compiled a list of the basic steps that are involved in the process of selling your home. Feel free to use me as a resource at any time for any assistance or to answer any questions that you may have.

Step 1: Prepare to your home
Decluttering and discarding unnecessary items is a great place to begin as you prepare your home for sale. Next, be sure to do a thorough cleaning including storage areas and closets. Organized storage areas can often appear larger and more accommodating. Complete the process by staging and rearrange your furniture so that it shows off the space best. Keeping your home in perfect condition throughout the entire process is crucial to make a great impression on all buyers.

Step 2: Set the list price of your home
Many things like market conditions, comparables, interest rates and your home’s location and condition will play a role in how much you can ask for price. In some ways home selling is part art, part science, part marketing, and part negotiation. Although market comps will be provided, it is ultimately the seller that will set the asking price.

Step 3: Negotiating an offer
One of the most complex events during the sales process is when you get an offer. Whether you have one offer or or are lucky enough to receive several, I can assist you with advice for a strategy to achieve your goals.

Step 4: Plan your move
After you have accepted an offer and the contingencies are met, you can begin your next stage. The good new is you have already done the cleaning and decluttering already so now you can begin organizing movers and incidentals as you prepare for your next chapter.
