Lexington
Lexington was originally settled in 1642 and is well known as the site of the first shots that were fired for the American Revolutionary War in 1775. The area thereafter was often recognized for its farming community which served produce for the Boston area. Once the mid 1900’s came, most of the farms were slowly becoming transformed into housing developments. With many businesses that were coming into the area along Route 128, Lexington was becoming a highly sought after location for those to live who worked nearby. Today Lexington has some of the best school systems in the state of Massachusetts. This combined with charming homes and a great town center with art galleries, shopping and dining opportunities make Lexington a highly sought after community.
